How it works

Your apps, swept before they appear.

SocialBroom opens each app’s own page and sweeps out the parts you’ve switched off before you see them. Your messages and the people you follow stay where they are.

You choose what goes
Flip a switch to sweep it from the feed.
Getting started

Set up in four steps

  1. 01

    Download SocialBroom

Free for iPhone with iOS 26 or later, and Android phones with Android 12 or later. There’s no account to make.

Download on the App StoreGet it on Google Play
  2. 02

    Tap an app on Home

Instagram, YouTube and the other five apps sit on SocialBroom’s Home. Tap one and log in on its own page. Your login stays on your phone.

  3. 03

    Choose what goes

Each app has a switch for every part SocialBroom can sweep, from Reels and Stories to comments and suggested posts.

  4. 04

    Set a daily limit

Give any app 15, 30 or 45 minutes, or an hour a day. Your stats count time and sweeps on your phone.

Behind the screen

What happens when you open an app

Swept before it appears

SocialBroom loads the app’s own page and removes what you’ve switched off before the page shows. You see your feed without the parts you chose to lose.

Your account stays the same

SocialBroom never changes a setting on your account. It sweeps what shows on your screen. Sign out in SocialBroom and your account stays exactly as it was.

The real apps are left alone

SocialBroom doesn’t touch them. If an icon keeps pulling you back, move it off your Home Screen and open that app from SocialBroom.

Staying swept

Apps change. Sweeps keep up.

SocialBroom’s sweeps update on their own, without an app update. The one thing the app downloads from us is its list of what to sweep, signed so nobody can change it.

If an app changes first, SocialBroom tells you which sweeps are paused, and Reels, Shorts and For You stay swept.

Something got through?

Report it in Settings → Help → Report a broken sweep. You check the report before it’s sent, and it includes no usernames, messages or logins.

With notifications on, SocialBroom tells you when the sweep is fixed.

Everyday controls

Small settings that help

Leave an app

Pull the green handle at the top of the left edge to the right, keep dragging, then let go. Rather tap? The floating button’s Exit does the same.

Grayscale

Show apps in grayscale always, or only in the evenings, such as 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. It works inside SocialBroom’s apps.

Weekly recap

A note once a week, plus one when a sweep you reported is fixed. Notifications never include anything you see in your apps.

Message alerts

SocialBroom doesn’t send message alerts. If a group chat needs you right away, keep that app’s notifications on.

What it leaves alone

No Screen Time passcode, no VPN, no web filter, no access to your other apps. Delete it and it’s gone, like any app.
